Handbook of Headache
Welcome to the homepage of Handbook of Headache, a comprehensive reference work from Springer.
The complete project consists of a book in printed format and an online version accessible to subscribers. The whole project is under the auspices of The Global Campaign to Reduce the Burden of Headache Worldwide "Lifting the Burden". The purpose of such initiative is to provide an educational tool on headache disorders, available to physicians worldwide.
The project is aimed at level-1 and level-2 care providers as a reference aid to practical management in non-specialist care worldwide. Sections are organized according to the concepts of "need to know" for practical management, and "nice to know" for a more in-depth approach.
The topics embrace accounts on the burden and management of headache disorders. There are reports on headache's causes, correct diagnostic approaches, clinical description of primary and secondary forms. The style is interdisciplinary, covering the many relevant aspects of such clinical area, spanning information on the importance of the most recent epidemiological, molecular and social researches.
Entries are divided into chapters and a sophisticated electronic search capability is provided, including an ability to link easily to other on-line scientific journals. Extensive cross-referencing between related articles enables efficient searching in a user-friendly and time-efficient manner. The nature of the contents can be found under Aims & Scope.
This website is updated regularly as work progresses. The Editorial Board invites you to view sample entries and values your feedback concerning this publication.
