Encyclopedia of Sustainability Science and Technology
Welcome to the homepage of Encyclopedia of Sustainability Science and Technology, a comprehensive reference work from Springer.
This encyclopedic treatment is prepared by scientists and engineers for other scientists and engineers in a format which allows experts in one field to easily understand detailed treatments of fields not within their area of expertise. The contributions form a scientific basis for the huge volume of sustainability evaluations and studies being performed within thousands of institutions world-wide. This new Encyclopedia is a natural follow-on and is symbiotic with our just completed Encyclopedia of Complexity and Systems Science which provides key mathematical and modeling tools for understanding such diverse complex systems as cosmology, earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, molecular biology and robotics as well as econometrics and sustainability of the earth.
Please do have a look at a short video explaining the need for our project, that our Editor in Chief, Robert Meyers, made while on a sustainability survey in Africa:
Information and more details about the extent of this project can be found under Aims & Scope.
We welcome you and look forward to your participation in this exciting project.
