Dried fruits-carminative, depurative; used for dyspepsia, flatulence and strangury. Leaf-alterative, febrifuge. Seeds-anti-inflammatory, emetic, diuretic, emmenagogue. |
Though known as Desi Asgandh, the root is not used in Indian medicine. Ashwagandhaa (Bengali) and Ashwagandhi (Kannada)
